Call for Workshop Proposals - 2013

Australian Goddess Conference 2013 - 'Into the Wild' - Call for Workshop Proposalsscar clan women

GAIA Inc is currently planning its annual conference to be held in Pennant Hills, NSW 18 to 20/10/2013.

We are inviting people to submit proposals for workshops/sessions on the theme of ‘Into the Wild.’

In thinking about a possible presentation/workshop please consider the following areas:

The Wild Goddess lives within everyone. She speaks of freedom, strength, trust, abandon, new beginnings, movement and a power of entering the unknown with an unfettered spirit. Women keep the cycles of the earth and oceans deep within their bodies, they have long been the keepers of the sacred Earth, her infinite wisdom and guardians of her secrets.

The Wild Goddess knows of everyone's instinctual connection to the lands, and the ancestors who once walked upon it. When we awaken to Her presence, we awaken our own personal power.

The Australian Goddess Conference – ‘Into the Wild’ invites you to step into your wild wisdom. It provides a natural wild setting that is a safe & sacred space in which a deep connection can occur with our true primal selves. This is a time to have the Freedom to express our wild nature and connect with our community.

Personal Development – How can we reconnect to our primal, instinctual selves and step into our wild wisdom? What paths, journeys and actions can we take to embrace and live the ways of the wild goddess within? What personal skills can we develop and fine tune to deepen and trust our Wild Wholeness?

Movement and Expression – Listen as She calls to our wild beating hearts, as she howls to the moon and runs Free and uninhibited through this vast land. She is the essence of wild creatures, the wilderness of our earth, the wild elements of our country, wild dance, drama, art and song. She is the wild potent energy of the Goddess.

Environment and Community - The Wild Goddess is Protector and The Huntress - She reveres life of all kinds and is attuned to all animals and plants. A Wild Goddess feels what nature feels, she honours the ageless wisdom of trees, soil, mountains, and oceans. What can we actively do as individuals and collectively in the community to live and create a world that we want for every generation? What change and action is necessary to save our sacred mother and what can we do about it?

Scholarship – Into the Wild invites you to speak with the power of your Wild Words of Wisdom. Where can the power of your spoken word, knowledge and teachings lead you and humanity? What can we learn from them? How can we build on their teachings? Why do so many ignore it? What does this mean to Goddess? Who are the Wild Women and Goddesses who have come before?

Creativity & Crafting – How can we engage our sense of freedom, of wildness, of the unfettettered spirit to create a treasure, a picture, a tool, a message, that speaks of the wildness within, without and between?

Please click HERE to download the submission form, we have included some information to outline the types of workshops we feel will be varied and suitable to the theme.

We ask that you consider this information and use it as a ‘guide’ when you put forward your workshop proposal.

Be a Melissae

Be a Melissae

We are looking for enthusiastic, Goddess-loving, committed GAIA Inc members to be Melissaes at the Conference, taking care of the behind the scenes support work for the participants and to ensure the smooth running of the Conference.

To make the conference a great experience for all participants we will create a team to hold together all aspects of the logistics.

As a Melissae you will do a little of everything: pour drinks, check in presenters, make tea, sell tickets, set up rooms - you get the picture.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the conference.

Melissaes will be offered a heavily discounted place at the conference in exchange for the work that they do.   We are asking for a $ 175 donation toward your conference attendance. This is a discount of $ 210.

This year, attendees of the conference can also pay $ 110 for onsite accommodation and hot breakfast. Meliassaes need pay only $ 80 for onsite accommodation and hot breakfast.

Please be aware we only have limited numbers of places for Melissaes and we may not be able to approve all Melissae requests. We know that wonderful people like you, who provide this support, are the reason why our conference can be enjoyed and celebrated by everyone. We look forward to hearing from you.
